In the online world, everyone knows that content is king. Without quality content, nothing will attract customers or keep anyone interested long enough to purchase from you. This is the law of the land, and with good reason, without this strategy, any online business is likely to fail.

However, if content is king, then marketing is the queen. Both are needed to making any online business thrive. With this in mind having a solid balance of both allows you to leverage each component for future business expansion.

It doesn’t matter how good the product is if no one knows about it. For example, the first mp3 player ever made was the MP Man in 1998. 3 years earlier than Apple’s iPod which is forever in tech time.

It was a game changing device that would have shifted the way people listen to music and the music industry in general. But for some reason or the other, the company failed to get any interest in the product, and it slowly faded away into the bin of misfit toys.

Which is why marketing is so important for increasing interest and maximizing exposure. Without it, you will soon turn into the ghost of Christmas past and be long forgotten.

To avoid becoming lost certain techniques can be used to make everyone aware of your brand. In 2017, these are the strategies that can be leveraged to make your business and product known.

1. Social Media Marketing

A huge chunk of the modern world owns smart phones. With 72% in the U.S. and vast majority of other countries, it’s essential to being on social media. On average these individuals spend about 4 hours on these devices on apps such as Facebook, Instagram and snap chat.

Which magnifies the importance of having a presence on these platforms. In short, marketing is all about being where your customer is, and if that’s social media, then we must follow.

To effectively market on these social apps one must regularly post, engage, and communicate with potential customers.

Whether it’s twice day or twice a week stay consistent when jumping on these media outlets and you’ll increase the chances of being discovered and converting spectators into buyers.

2. Email Marketing

Email marketing is the most often overlooked method of marketing. It’s proven to be profitable, but yet it’s consistently under utilized.

For those that don’t know email marketing is when a business emails it’s previous customers with specials and offers that they’ll be interested in based on past purchases.

With these quality leads plenty of revenue can be generated by sending out weekly sales and promotions.

A customer that has previously purchased with you is more likely to buy from you again and should be valued with care.

Stay in touch with past customers, and you’ll be sure to keep a steady income stream based on brand loyalty.

3. Content Marketing

Keeping your audience engaged with helpful and intriguing content is the most effective way to making sales. Without interest, lack luster sales is sure to follow as well as poor performance.

By posting videos, articles, and social media posts, you can create hype around your brand and product. Collaborate with other influencers and others in your niche to build original material to keep eyeballs on your business.

These are the 3 marketing strategies to master to boost your brand in 2017 and beyond!

  1. Hi, Victor!

It’s true, no matter how good your material or product is, if no one knows about it, it’s almost like you never built a product in the first place.

I agree that email marketing is one of the most underutilized form of marketing and I honestly forget that I have the power to use it too.

But thanks for the reminder that most of our marketing tools are within reach. It’s only up to us to take action about it or not.
