Staying focused in this day and age is becoming harder because of the many gadgets and gizmos we lug around. With these devices come rings and notifications begging for our attention. Unfortunately, these distractions usually add little value to our days and just end up wasting our time.

To maximize our efforts while keeping disturbances to a minimum, we must take the proper precautions to ensure that we become as efficient as possible. Now, this is easier said than done but with a solid plan, it can be achieved painlessly.

After much tinkering to my routine, I have found the perfect way to isolate myself in a distraction free bubble. Doing so has doubled my production and has lasting effects on my overall behavior.

Take these 4 steps and you too can boost your production.

1. Carve out a block of time

First and for most, we must block out a specific time slot to getting things done. It’s better if you incorporate this into your routine so that it can become a daily occurrence. Building this habit will help compound your efforts over time, and the lasting results will become recognizable.

You’d be surprised to find out that most overlook this important detail and end up sabotaging their success. Simply put failing to plan is planning to fail. Avoid this by hashing out a window for work ahead of time, and you’ll be off on the right step.

2. Isolate Yourself

So you don’t have to be a hermit to be isolated, but you do have to remove yourself from potential social interactions. By doing this, it limits the number of people that can reach you which will block out half the noise.

Humans are social creatures, and we can’t help but interact with each other especially when they’re friends. There’s nothing wrong with this, but it’s not cool when it stunts our progress.

3. Turn off all Devices

Being that we live in the digital age it should be no surprise that our phones are always within arms reach. Now, this makes communicating easier but does little to stop the many hindrances that come from these devices.

Turning off all devices for a short period will not kill you, nor is every notification worthy of your time.

4. Focus

Buckling down and getting to work is the most challenging aspect of increasing efficiency. It will also be harder the more successful you become. Which makes it vital that you instill discipline into your routine. By mentally clearing the slate and dialing in on your project success is not only possible it will be imminent.

I know this tips and tricks work and trust they will work on you as you make the journey to wealth, health, and happiness.
