What’s the main difference between the pessimist and the optimist? One word, perspective. That’s why you can place two people in a similar position, and they can still have entirely different outlooks on the same situation.

How does that happen? Well, it’s not the details; it’s the mindset. So it’s important to safeguard your thoughts. You must consistently fill your brain with positive material to keep you grounded. If not, you run the risk of veering off course and crashing into a sea of negativity.

First and foremost every person must take control of their mind. It’s a powerful tool that is used to shape reality, so you must guard it against all intruders. Stand as a silent sentinel keeping watch of your thoughts, eager to fight over the dominion of the ideas floating in your head.

You see, this spongy organ comes with incredible power, but it’s also incredibly impressionable. The mind is malleable and can be shaped it into anything you desire.

For example, the U.S. military is aware of this, and they use it to reprogram civilians into gritty warriors. Soldiers are molded into battle-hardened veterans trained to survive in harsh environments capable of shooting enemy combatants at 300 meters.

What they do is get into the recruits head early and often. They beat ideology into their brain until its finally adopted as their own. It’s quite simple really, the more you hear something, the more likely you are to believe it. When used correctly this principle works with anything.

It just depends on what’s going on in between the ears. This idea goes all the way back to the B.C. era. Confucious knew this concept intimately, and is quoted saying, “He who says he can, and he who says he can’t are both usually right.” Profound wisdom coming from a man whose intellect has stood the test of time.

That’s why your brain should only feed on positive vibes. It’s pertinent to your future that you filter out the garbage. You must ensure that every thought is constructive and builds upon the last as you advance towards your ultimate goals

It’s no coincidence that positive thinking and prosperity go hand in hand. It’s an incredible duo that has the potential to shape your future and make your dreams come true.

The greatest achievers to ever walk this earth have known this principle and have used it regularly. Your mind can either be a blessing or a curse. So whats its going to be? A glass-half-full or a glass-half-empty?
